Poison Ivory dream

Today I would like to share a card with you that I made this week for the sketch and color challenges this week on SCS. The colors were to use burgundy, artichoke, coral and vanilla.

I stamped my silhouette image with burgundy ink onto Paper Temptress poison ivory iridescent cardstock. I love the subtle shimmer that it has and the silhouettes are from one of my favorite Sweet N Sassy sets called Dream Silhouettes. I then sponged artichoke and coral ink around the image which still in my rectangle die. I accented the flowers with stickles glitter glue. The artichoke patterned paper was matted onto the poison ivory and then onto the burgundy. All the layers were sewn before attaching to the ivory card base.

Supplies:
stamps- Sweet N Sassy stamps Dream Silhouettes
CS- Paper Temptress poison ivory, basis burgundy, artichoke dp
accessories- pearls, grosgrain ribbon, stickles, rectangle nesties, sewing machine

Sweet N Sassy stamps October Christmas blog hop

This month Sweet N Sassy stamps is featuring their Christmas stamps for the blog hop. It is never to early to get started with making those Christmas cards so the DT have some fabulous samples in store for you to inspire you.

This super cute new image is a sneak peek of one of the new digi images being released tomorrow from SNSS. I just love it and I am excited about it being a "digi" because you can resize it to whatever size you want! I am so not computer savvy and if I can figure out how to do it then anyone can LOL. I colored the image with my copics and sewed all the edges. I accented the tree with a star rhinestone and pink rhinestones for the ornaments. The tree and the circle are raised on pop dots. My layout this week is the fabulous sweet stop sketch for the week!

Be sure to stop by the Sweet N Sassy website on Thursday to check out the newest digital releases and to download your free digi image for the week. I am not sure which one is going to be the freebie for this week so I guess you will just have to stop on by to see.

Mojo Monday Week 108

Hello everyone. Time for another wonderful mojo Monday sketch!

This adorable little image is something that Korin, owner of Sweet N Sassy stamps is cooking up for us. I can't let the cat out of the bag YET but stay tuned for more info coming soon LOL! We are really looking forward to revealing the surprise.

Meet Emma. She loves the Lord and helping her mommy around the house. She wants to be a mommy and teach Sunday School when she grows up. This is all I am allowed to say for now.

I colored the image with copics and used a spica glitter pen on the balloon, bows, and trim of the dress. Stickles were used to accent the dots on the bag and a rhinestone in the middle of the flower. I chose to make this card because it is also for the first Kraftin Kimmie challenge which is just to make a birthday card. My friend and former DT member of high hopes stamps has now opened up her own online store. I am so excited for her and not only her but for my very dear friend Crissy Armstrong who is one of the illustrators for the new company. Let me just say if Crissy drew it, you know it is adorable!! Love you girls and best wishes to you on your new venture.

Supplies:
Sweet N Sassy stamps Emma (not released yet)
CS- baja breeze, riding hood red, SU dp
accessories- baja ribbon, rhinestone, copics, white gel pen, sparkle stickers, circle punch

Sympathy color challenge

I have been so busy that I have not been able to play in many of the Splitcoast challenges like I used to. Tuesday I was able to jump into the color challenge and it was a combo that I would not have thought of so that is cool. I really like the soft and subtle look of mellow moss, kraft, and white. I thought they were very soothing and would make a good combo for a sympathy card.

I embossed the forget me nots with white onto kraft paper and sponged moss ink around them while still in the nestie die. I added a pearl to the center of each and used a white gel pen to draw a frame around them to make them stand out. My layout is from the sweet stop sketch blog this week. This is one of my favorite sets from Sweet N Sassy and was just released on October 1st. They look great colored (or not) and the set contains some wonderful sentiments so it is very universal too. You can see the set HERE. I know you will love it!

I was also wondering if you guys would be willing to do me a favor too. When you place your orders with Sweet N Sassy stamps if you could just put my name in the comment field (JANETTE) so they know who referred you. It is something new we are going to try out. I am hoping to win a set and if I do that is going to mean some blog candy for you all here on my blog- sound good?

Supplies:
stamps- Sweet N Sassy stamps Forget Me Not
CS- mellow moss, white, kraft, Anna Griffin dp (this has been in my scrapbooking stash forever)
accessories- pearls, curved rectangle nesties, white satin ribbon, pop dots, white ep

Thanks for stopping in today. Many blessings to you!!

October mojo Monday CONTEST

It is the first Monday of the month and that means contest week for all you mojo Monday fans! There will be one card chosen by the mojo makers for every 75 cards that is the mojo-ist and the winners will all receive their choice of a Verve stamps set valued at $24 or less. What an awesome prize huh? Below are this week's sketch and my sample.

I have been having a bit of a struggle lately with some things so I thought this verse would be a perfect reminder how everything is on God's perfect timing and not mine. This is a very good thing but is sometimes difficult when going through it. Besides, here in the northeast we are experiencing the changing of the leaves and the image and verse was very fitting for that too. So, this card is also for the Verve stamps project parade this month in which the theme is to make an encouragement or friendship card. How fitting this is huh? If you play along you have a chance to win a terrific Verve gift certificate for $30. Lots of Verve up for grabs this week!

I pulled out some dp from SU in my stash that I have not used in awhile. I am committed to using the supplies that I currently have and not purchase new. I would love some new stuff but I probably have enough paper to wallpaper my entire house and the neighbor's so must use it first. Anyway, I thought the colors were great for a fall card. I first stamped my leaf from the Autumn blessings set off once with pumpkin ink and then stamped it on ivory CS. The scripture from the Encouragement set was stamped over the top with chocolate and the edges were lightly sponged with wasabi ink while still in the circle die. Since, I have been asked by quite a few of you, the trick to the sponging is to really make sure that the sponge is fairly dry with ink. So you need to take some of the ink off of it after tapping it onto the ink pad. I also use circular motions starting off the die.

Supplies:
stamps- Sweet N Sassy stamps Autumn blessings and Encouragement scripture set
CS- river rock, chocolate, SU dp
accessories- brown pearls, stitched ribbon, circle nesties, sewing machine

Take a run on over to the mojo Monday blog for the contest details and for a peek at the great samples that my fellow mojo makers have prepared for you.

Have an awesome day!!!
