Soccer Cocoa for Lindsey

P1277558

This is a card I made for my daughter Lindsey's birthday next week. I can't believe I have it done early too lol. Well, truth be told it was supposed to be made into a Christmas ornament but I ran out of time. Anyway, I used the Cocoa Loves Soccer digi and typed in "Lindsey" underneath to personalize it. One cool thing about digis :). I colored it with copics and used the Sweet Stop Sketch this week for my layout.

Crazy for Cocoa Sweet Stop

P1137506

I colored my Chef Cocoa with copics and then embossed the sentiment from the kitchen sentiments digi set and my image using my nestabilities. I then sponged around them with vintage photo distress ink while they were still in the die. The layout for my card today is the Sweet Stop sketch for the week. This week has a dry embossing spin as well and a prize up for grabs too. The background paper fits the image is so well and it is from my stash that I have had forever.

Love You Snow Much

P1137486

I think this adorable Snowy Hug is one of my favorite Magnolia images! Good news too, it is now back in stock at 7 Kids College Fund. It is colored with copics and then stickles were used for the snow and on the trim of the hats and coat. I also used a spica clear glitter pen around the snowman but that is not showing too well in the photos. Around the edges of the patterned paper, I used picket fence crackle paint. I really like the look of it but I need to improve a bit in my application of it. Also, I found out that the crackle paint chips off when I sewed after applying. So, I will either not sew when I use it or maybe try to apply after sewing.

CAS Snowflakes

P1107479

I decided to create a clean and simple card today. It is actually the first time that I can remember anyway that I did not mat any of the layers on the card. It is not my favorite card but it is pretty with all the subtle sparkle. I stamped the Snowflake background and sentiment from Sweet N Sassy stamps onto Paper Temptress blanc sparkle with Fired Brick Distress Ink. I then sponged around the sentiment while in the mega curved rectangle nestabilites die with broken china distress ink. The corners were accented with crystal gemstones.

Sparkly Snowman

P1047465

I decided to play along with 2 of the Splitcoast challenges and came up with this card. The technique challenge was to paint your image with stickles and the color challenge was red, white and gray/silver so I combined the two. My adorable snowman from the newly released Snow Special stamp set by Sweet N Sassy stamps was "painted" with candy cane, star dust, and silver stickles. The snowflake strip at the bottom was stamped in red ink with the brand new Snowflake Background stamp. The white background panel was embossed with my cuttlebug polka dots embossing folder. I added silver pearls for the "buttons", in the scallops, and in the corners.

here is a closer look at the sparkle
