Celebrating the New Year with BLOG CANDY!!

Hello everyone and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! I know that there are so many things that I am thankful for in 2008 and I pray for a happy, healthy and prosperous 2009 for you.

Well, what a way to celebrate the New Year- with new stamps! Sweet N Sassy stamps is releasing 7 new stamp sets tomorrow (Jan 2) and I am blessed to be able to offer one stamp set to you for blog candy. Korin, the owner of SNSS, has generously given EACH of the DT members a stamp set to give away on our blogs so that means you have 14 chances to win candy- how cool is that?? The set I am giving away is called True Friend and it is a great versatile set that can be used on both the outside and inside of cards. I love it and I think you will too. I also have a sneak peek card to show you featuring 2 of the new sets- one of them being true friend which is the one I am offering today.



On the top section I embossed the heart and then use my piercabilities to paper pierce a pattern around it. I painted the heart with pink poinsettia blingz shimmerz and then accented the pattern with pearls. I stamped my sentiment in the scalloped circle which is from the new love blooms set being released and sponged a heart over the top from a mask I made from a punched out heart.

Here is the inside of the card featuring the true friend stamp set:



I stamped the verse and then sponged over it with pink ink. I did this by creating a square stencil with my nestabilities.
