Poinsettia Christmas card

Hi everyone, I would like to share a CAS Christmas card that I made.  I chose the beautiful poinsettia stamp set from Sweet N Sassy stamps which is currently out of stock for my card but this image is also available as a digi so if you still need to finish some cards up, perhaps that will do the trick.

poinsettia

I stamped the poinsettia image twice onto Neenah white cardstock and colored them with copics.  I then fussy cut them out, omitting some of the petals and the leaves from the second image.  I popped it up with foam tape over the embossed panel and gold netting and added some gold stickles and gold pearls for a bit of glitz.  The sentiment which I stamped in black is from the Christmas Joy set.  A fairly simple card to make.

Supplies:
stamps- Sweet N Sassy stamps Poinsettia set and Christmas Joy
Copics- R43, R46, R39, G40, G43, G46
accessories- gold pearls, gold netting, gold stickles, foam tape, Sissix poinsettia emboss folder

I hope that you enjoyed the card I shared today.  I would like to wish each of you a very blessed Christmas and all the best in the New Year!

Ornamental Christmas

Wow, have things been busy! I bet many of you have been going through the same craziness. I actually have been making cards but just have not posted them here- bad me lol. So, anyway I thought I would share one of those cards with you today.  I am going to apologize for the horrible picture.  For some reason no matter how many time I took the picture I could not get the colors to appear like they do IRL.  Anyway...

  ornaments

I absolutely love this Vintage Ornaments set from Sweet N Sassy stamps. The ornaments were stamped 3 times and cut out and popped up with foam tape. I used stickler, rhinestones, and silver cord to accent them. The white bg panel was embossed with a snowflakes cb folder. I layered the scalloped borders at the top which were cut with the scallop border dies from SNSS.

Supplies: Stamps: Vintage Ornaments Ink and CS: Bravo Burgundy, Celery, Baja Breeze from SU accessories: rhinestones, stardust stickles, metallic edge ribbon, Scallop edge border dies, Snowflakes embossing folder, Word Window punch, silver cord

Sweet N Sassy Stamps Birthday blog hop

Hi everyone, I hope that you are doing well and that you had a good Thanksgiving if you celebrated it. I don't know about you but I am in full swing trying to prepare for Christmas. However, I am glad to take a break for a bit to share a Christmas card that I made for the birthday hop. I am thrilled to be sharing in the celebration with Sweet N Sassy stamps. I met Korin Sutherland, the owner, a little over 4 years ago now when I started designing for her company. I have been so blessed to be a part of this company and I missed it so much when I had to take a year off for family reasons. I am very happy to call Korin one of my closest friends and want to congratulate her on 5 years of being in business.

So a little important info that you will want to know before I show you my card:
~There will be 4 prizes given to commentors on 4 random blogs throughout the hop and each will receive a $15 store credit.
~To be included in the drawings, comments must be left by midnight EST Friday, November 30th. ~The winners will be announced on the SNSS Blog on December 1st at 8am EST Here is the card I would like to share with you today:

pearlsFor my card I used the beautiful Christmas Sentiments set from Sweet N Sassy stamps. Can I just say that I totally LOVE this set! I love that they are large and can stand alone on a card or paired with an image. I think it is also cool that because they are clear you can customize them by cutting them so you can use them horizontally the way they are packaged or cut them like I did and make your own design- cool huh? One thing I think that you will love is that ALL Christmas stamps are 30% off through tomorrow. So, after you leave your comment below to be entered in the drawing for the prizes, head on over to Sweet N Sassy stamps to shop for some great deals.

Peace collage

My daughters and I spent this past weekend with my dear friend Korin Sutherland and her family. It was great spending time together and enjoying some stamping. She makes some wonderful collage cards and I was determined to learn how to do collage stamping lol. So with her help and after several failed attempts this is the card that I came up with.

  Peace-SC411

On kraft cardstock I first stamped the Light of Christmas bg stamp with Antique Linen ink.  Next I stamped the Snowflake flourish with brown memento ink over the top of that.  Finally I stamped the Vintage ornament with CTMH twilight ink.  All of the edges were distressed with scissors and I sponged the edges with brown ink.  Pearls and white twine were used as my embellies.  The layout is the sketch challenge on SCS this week which was designed by the fabulous Korin.

Hey everyone, hope you are having a good day!  Today I have a Christmas card that I would like to share with you.

I used the Christmas Joy stamp set from Sweet N Sassy stamps which is now back in stock. I colored the image with copics and sponged around the cardinal with baja ink while still in the nestie. I added some frosted lace stickles to the tree branch and pine cone. The edges of the dp were stitched with my sewing machine.  I used the mojo Monday sketch this week for my layout which was perfect since I wanted to use this round image. Wow, it sure has been a long time since I have played along with that challenge! It was a great sketch to come back with too.

Sweet Stop Tulips

Hi stamping friends!  It has been nearly a year since I have posted on my blog and actually made a card.  I don't want to bore you with too many details but I will give you a brief summary as to why I have been absent so long.  Last November my mother in law was diagnosed with lung cancer.  I am blessed that my schedule allowed me to take her to the numerous appts, chemo and such, however that also meant that I had no time left for crafting.  I am also grateful to say that she is now in remission.  We also sold our home, bought another one and moved this summer.  So, even when I would have had time to stamp, my craft supplies were packed up in boxes for a number of months.

So, here I am with the first card that I made in such a long time.  I colored this image back in April at a woman's craft day but was not able to do anything with it until now.  When I saw this week's Sweet Stop Sketch, I pulled out the image and decided to make it into a card.  I never realized how tough it was going to be to get back into the swing of things.  I had no idea of where I put many of my supplies when I unpacked so just finding things was tricky.  I could not remember how to take a picture esp. since my husband bought me a new camera for my birthday that I don't know how to use yet.  I don't know where my watermark is, photoshop does not seem to be on my computer anymore, and I am re-learning on how to actually do a blog post lol.

Anyway, here is what I came up with... a fair attempt at making a card.  Not too horrible for such a long absence I suppose:

watermark tulips

The tulips were colored with copics and accented with a bit of Stardust stickles.  The Friday challenge on Splitcoast was to distress so I used my sanding block on the edges of the patterned paper.  Basic Grey has a white core so it lends itself well to this technique.  I stitched the layers with my Janome sew mini.  The layout is the Sweet Stop sketch this week which I love because it is so universal and will work well with most images.

Challenges I would like to enter my card in:
