Sweet Stop Sketch 12

Hi everyone! As you are reading this I am out of town with my daughters. So the next couple posts from me will be rather short posts as I am trying to schedule them before I leave, hopefully they will post as scheduled too.

Below is the sweet stop sketch for this week and my sample.

I made a Christmas card because there is a Christmas in July sale at Sweet N Sassy stamps this month. I used the Christmas scripture set on my card and the gorgeous papers I used are from the incandescent line at Paper Temptress.

Be sure to check out the sketch details and some terrific samples from the Sweet N Sassy Sr DT on the Sweet Stop blog.

Have a great day!

mojo Monday 94 - CONTEST

Good mojo Monday to you! This week's fab-o sketch is a contest week. Julee is giving away 7 awesome Verve sets of the winners' choice so I hope you will have a chance to play this week.

I really struggled with my card this week as I have had a sinus headache and it was very late last night when I finally finished it up. See the sketch and my sample below:

I used the newly released In His Time set from Sweet N Sassy stamps for my card today. I really love the scripture in it. I paper pieced the moth and actually made it shorter so it would fit on my card. I used a spica glitter pen on it and accented with black pearls. I also used a multi-liner pen to doodle a frame around the scripture.

Supplies:
stamps- Sweet N Sassy stamps In His Time
CS- black eclipse from Paper Temptress, BG Ambrosia dp
accessories- black pearls, spica glitter pen, grey taffeta ribbon

The mojo makers have such great samples to get you inspired on the mojo Monday blog. You will also find the challenge details there so you can play along with us.

There are also 2 other challenges I would like to mention quickly:

Sweet N Sassy stamps is the sponsor of this week's CPS sketch and I think that there may be a prize involved too. I have not had a chance to play along yet but hope to.

This week's color Monday challenge which I host on Christian Papercrafts is to use your bold brights.

Sweet Stop Sketch 11

Hello everyone and Happy 4th of July to all the Americans!! Doing anything special to celebrate? Not sure exactly what we are doing here yet. Probably try to see some fireworks tonight.

Korin has a great sketch for us to use again on the Sweet Stop Blog. See the sketch and my sample below:

I decided to create my own patterned paper using the circle border stamp from the newly released beautiful borders set. This is the same set I used to create the CAS cards on my last post. See how versatile they are- a must have LOL! So I picked these colors because I was playing along with last week's color challenge on SCS. I stamped the borders in tangerine tango ink. I then colored the centers with my Y19 copic and then added the blue dots with my B06 marker. My main image is from the new birthday buddies set which is just so adorable. I think that the mouse is my favorite buddy. He came out darker than I wanted. I wanted to try some new markers that I had not used before and after all the shading it was a bit too dark but oh well. The balloons are cut out and popped up with foam dots and a spica glitter pen was used for the sparkle.

Supplies:
stamps- Sweet N Sassy stamps beautiful borders and birthday buddies
CS- tangerine, white, pacific point, summer sun
accessories- rhinestones, taffeta ribbon, spica glitter pen, primas, corner rounder punch, copics (Y17, Y19, YR00, YR02, YR07, YR09, B05, B06, E70, E74, E77)

Check out the Sweet Stop blog for some awesome inspiration from the rest of the SNSS Sr. DT. They have some great projects to show you!

Have a safe and wonderful holiday!

Sweet N Sassy stamps blog hop

Hi there! What do you know I finally have a mid-week post LOL? It is time to say farewell to some wonderfully talented ladies that have served for the last 6 months on the SNSS DT. We also say welcome to some terrific new ladies who will be serving for the next 6 months. So there are lots of inspiring projects for you to see on the blog hop. If you have not already been hopping then you will definitely want to go back to the Sweet N Sassy blog and start there so you don't miss anything. I also have the blog hop schedule on my sidebar.

I have 2 CAS cards to share with you today which is rather unusual for me. Once in awhile I like to change it up. I also changed my hair this week and had it highlighted so I guess I am quite the rebel LOL.

I used the newly released beautiful borders set for my cards. There are 5 stamps in the set and they make great focal points, borders, or custom dp. I simply inked up half the stamp and stamped my image. I then die cut it using my long rectangle nesties and drew a frame around them while still in the die with my marker. I accented the middle of the flowers with some rhinestones and simply tied a ribbon at the top and voila! Since I was making a CAS card I wanted to use some "special" paper so I chose white sparkle from Paper Temptress to add a little something without adding layers. Oh and the sparkle paper is on sale 25% off for the month of July too!!

Supplies:
stamps- Sweet N Sassy stamps Beautiful Borders and I'd Pick you for the sentiments
CS- Paper Temptress blanc sparkle, noir sparkle, tango tangerine, summer sun, brilliant blue
accessories- rhinestones, striped grosgrain, organdy ribbon, long rectangle nesties

I also want to mention the Christmas in July celebration that starts today. Korin has some new exclusive digi images just for the celebration and of course there is a SALE and who doesn't love a sale??? You can get all the info about it HERE.

Your next stop on the blog hop is one of our new DT members- Lisa and you are sure to love what she has to share with you.

Thanks for stopping by today!

High Hopes Challenge 37

Good morning, just getting ready to head out for church but I thought I would try and see if I could post my high hopes sample card for you. This week's challenge is stars and/or stripes and is brought to us by the super sweet diva Lacey.

I paper pieced the jammies with the same dp I used in the main layer and then colored the rest with copics. I used stickles on the bow and hearts of the bear. The edges of the image were sponged with pink ink and then the matte and main border edges were distressed with scissors.

Supplies:
stamps- high hopes Crissy's snuggle bear, Sweet N Sassy stamps sentiment
CS- Paper Temptress cappuccino metallic, basic grey dp, and unknown dp
accessories- glittery primas, pearl brads, organdy ribbon, sewing machine, stickles, copics

Check out the high hopes blog for more challenge info and the prize that is up for grabs for a random challenge participant.

Have a blessed day!
