Sweet N Sassy stamps is releasing 2 terrific new sets today and I love both of them! Today I get to show you the Forget me Not set. I created a sympathy card for my sample.

I decided to play along with the sketch and color challenges on SCS this week. I colored my flowers which were stamped on white sparkle cardstock from Paper temptress with copics and then cut them out and adhered with pop dots. The centers were accented with rhinestones.

Supplies:
stamps- SNSS Forget Me Not
CS- Paper Temptress blanc sparkle, cotton candy pop tones, SU sage shadow
accessories- rhinestones, square punch, swiss dots cb folder, SU eyelet punch, organdy ribbon

I know that you are just going to love the new sets. The DT members have some more wonderful samples to show you. We also have a fun little recipe scavenger hunt planned for you with a prize involved. The list of the blogs is below:

We are celebrating our October release with another 1-day blog hop. You will see amazing projects using our two newest sets as you hop along the DT blogs Thursday, October 1st. Find the clues along the way for a chance to win both sets from the new release!

Sparkling snowflakes on a mojo Monday!

Hi everyone! It's mojo Monday and the last sketch for September- wow! That means next Monday will be contest week- woohoo! Below is the sketch and my sample. I struggled a little with it and should have adjusted my measurements a little but all in all it came out ok. See what you think.

This card did not really take me that long to make once I figured out what I was doing LOL. I used some gorgeous papers that you can find at Paper Temptress from the metallic line- white diamonds and lapis metallic. Besides being my sample for the mojo sketch this week, it is also my submission for the color challenge at Christian Papercrafts this week which is to bling it on using metallics, bling etc. I stamped my snowflakes from Sweet N Sassy stamps with navy ink and accented them each with a rhinestone in the center. I then stamped my sentiment with navy and accented that with rhinestones also. The white panels were run through my cb folder.

Supplies:
stamps- Sweet N Sassy stamps snowflakes set
CS- Paper Temptress white diamonds, lapis metallic
accessories- rhinestones, snowflakes cb folder, navy organdy ribbon

Stop by the mojo Monday blog and check out the sketch details and the mojo makers rockin samples.

Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping in today!

PS. About 2 weeks ago my visitor counter seems to have lost like 40,000 hits. It still has not fixed itself. Has this happened to anyone else?? I had been planning on blog candy for 50,000 since it crossed that mark but now it's gone- weird.

September Sweet Stop with a Spin

It's Saturday and that means Sweet Stop sketch time. This week we also have our monthly "sketch with a spin" challenge PLUS a terrific prize for one lucky participant! If that weren't enough, we've got a couple sneak peeks using our upcoming October release stamp sets. Talk about a ton of fun!!

This month the "spin" is a color challenge. Please use any combination of red, black, and tan on your creation in addition to following the sketch. If you participate in the challenge and link your project on the sweet stop blog by Friday, September 25, you will be entered into a drawing to win both of our September new release stamp sets -- "Waddle I Do?" and "You Light Up My Life"!! I have used the You light up my life set for my card today.

I first created my patterned paper by using snowflake stamps from the Snow Friends set and the Snowflakes set from Sweet N Sassy stamps. I stamped them in white, red, and black then sponged the edges with white and stitched it onto my black sparkle paper. I stamped the snowman onto my kraft paper and colored him with a white prismapencil and copics. I always wanted to try the white on kraft- pretty neat! I paper pieced the scarf and used diamond stickles for the lights. The edges of the circle were also sponged with white.

Supplies:
stamps- Sweet N Sassy stamps "Light of the World", Snow Friends, and Snowflakes sets
CS- Paper Temptress kraft, sparkle black, basis red, SU dp
accessories- black rhinestones, white gel pen, stickles, prismapencil, copics, circle nestabilities, stitched ribbon

Stop on by the sweet stop blog for all the info on this week's contest and to get some terrific inspiration from the DT.

Sweet N Sassy Autumn stroll blog hop

This month sweet n sassy stamps is featuring our Autumn stamp sets and digis for the blog hop. I decided to use the Autumn blessings set for my cards today. I used this week's sweet stop sketch for my first card that I have to share.

I stamped the leaf with dark chocolate palette ink onto watercolor paper and used my ink pad and aquapainter to watercolor it. It has been a long time since I have done watercoloring! I pierced around the image to accent it.

Supplies:
stamps- Sweet N Sassy stamps Autumn blessings
CS- watercolor paper, chocolate chip, SU confetti white, basic grey mellow dp
accessories/tools- Martha Stewart doily lace punch, chocolate grosgrain, brown pearls, paper piercer

I stamped the beautiful leaf image with versamark ink onto cryogen white and embossed with copper embossing powder. The copper metallic ribbon was showcased by scoring 3 lines both above it and below it.

Supplies:
stamps- SNSS Autumn blessings
CS- Paper temptress cryogen white, jellybean green, and copper metallic
accessories- copper ribbon, scor-pal, marvy scallop corner punch, copper ep, rhinestones

If this was your first stop on the blog hop then you will want to go back and start on the SNSS blog so you don't miss anything. Otherwise, your next stop today is Nancy and she has a wonderful project to share with you.

Thanks for visiting and enjoy your autumn stroll!

Sweet N Sassy sponsoring CPS

This week Sweet N Sassy stamps is the sponsor of the sketch on the CPS blog (card positioning systems). I made a CAS card for my sample to show you. My daughter needs some thank you cards to send for her birthday gifts so I needed to make them fairly quick and simple so she could help with them also. I think this will fit the bill:

I stamped my flower image 3 times, colored it with copics, and added a black pearl to the centers. The 3 panels were popped up on pop dots for dimension.

Supplies:
stamps- Sweet N Sassy stamps doodle flowers
CS- white, black, purple
accessories- black pearls, foam tape, copics, grosgrain ribbon

You'll want to visit the CPS blog for the information on this week's challenge and prize up for grabs. Have a wonderful day everybody!

mojo Monday Week 103- Contest week!

Hey there! It's that time of the month. It is the mojo Monday contest week. Every first Monday of the month Julee adds a bit of sweetness to the sketch by offering up 7 Verve sets as prizes for the 7 entries that are judges the mojoest of them all. There will be 7 winners (about 1 for every 75 entries) and each winner will get their choice of any Verve set valued at $24 or less. Pretty awesome huh? Below are this week's sketch and my sample.

I stamped the leaf image from the Beautiful borders set lightly with gray ink and then stamped the sentiment from Jesus cares over the top of it. I also sponged with gray ink while still in the die. I distressed the edges of the juniper cardstock. The core of the cardstock is white so it shows through when sanding or distressing.

Supplies:
stamps- Sweet N Sassy stamps Beautiful borders and Jesus cares
CS- ctmh juniper and SEI dp
accessories- pearls, white grosgrain

Be sure to stop by the mojo Monday blog for all the details on the contest and to be inspired by the wonderful samples that the rest of the mojo makers have prepared.

Have a great day!!
