My First Easel card for the Sweet Stop 1st Anniversary

Lately, I have been seeing some gorgeous easel cards out there in blog land so I decided that it was about time to give one a try myself. So, I thought it was a perfect occasion for another first on my behalf. The sweet stop blog is celebrating one year of sketches this week and in honor of the 1st anniversary Korin has some terrific prizes up for grabs for the participants in the sketch. Here is my card using this week's sketch (there is a twist too- buttons and bows)

I colored the image with copics and accented with stickles on the rain/puddle, spica glitter pen on the trim, and glimmer mist on the flowers but some got on the image too lol. The image is a real cutie designed by Deedee Anderson for Sweet N Sassy stamps and is called rainy day teddy.

here are some other views for you

Supplies:
digis- Sweet N Sassy stamps rainy day teddy, bear sentiments
CS- pink pirouette, Paper Temptress neenah white, blanc sparkle, noir sparkle, bo bunny dp
accessories- copics, rhinestones, satin ribbon, dazzling diamonds glimmer mist, spica glitter pen, stickles, oval nesties, Fiskars apron lace punch, pearls, buttons

Challenges that I participated in with this card:

Stamp Something- layers (and boy I sure do have lots of them on here and layers of embellies too)
Creative Belli challenge- to use die cut shapes (oval nesties) sponsored by Sweet N Sassy stamps
Simon Says Challenge- let's go to the movies with dry embossing twist (my movie- Singing in the Rain, oval nesties are embossed)
Sweet Stop sketch- with a button and bow twist
SCS technique challenge- Piercing (on the scallops of the ovals)
Stampin for the Weekend- ribbons and bows

Thanks for stopping in and have a wonderful day!

How darling, Janette!! I love the colors you used, and how you brought the teddy to life with your wonderful coloring. As others have said, I still haven't tried the easel card -- you sure make it look like fun, though!
