Yes, you read the title correctly! DRS designs is offering free stamps this week as a prize and you have not one but TWO chances to win it! A random drawing will be held to determine a winner from all the participants in the challenges- one of the challenges is the bi-weekly challenge on the DRS designs blog and the other challenge is the sketch this week on the CPS blog. I was supposed to announce that DRS designs is the sponsor of CPS this week on Sunday but I got things a little mixed up.
The first challenge is to use a ribbon slide as a focal point on your card. If you do not have any ribbon slides you can make a ribbon slide out of one of your stamps by just punching two holes in the center of your stamped image to feed the ribbon through. Now DRS stamps are not required but if you have them why not use them? Here is my snowflake slide sample to get you started.
I stamped my snowflake bg stamp for my white bg and sponged the edges. I punched the corners with my tag corner punch. I then stamped my large snowflake (not a ribbon slide stamp) with sky ink, cut it out and cut a matte around it too and then accented with stickles and rhinestones. I then did the same with my smaller ribbon slide snowflake which then was layered on top of the larger snowflake. I fed both organdy and satin ribbon through it.
Supplies:
stamps- DRS designs M238, D932, H015
CS- soft sky, white shimmer, blue bayou
accessories- stickles, rhinestones, organdy ribbon, satin ribbon, tag corner punch
Be sure to visit the DRS challenge post for more info and to see the other terrific samples from the DT.
The second challenge is a sketch challenge brought to you by card positioning systems blog. The DRS designs DT will have their samples posted on their blogs tomorrow for you including me but here is the sketch to get you started.
Their are some samples from the CPS DT on the CPS blog if you would like to check them out and find out more info on how you can enter the challenge to win the prize of the free DRS stamps.
Today is also my day to post on the DRS blog so I have 2 additional cards posted there.
Have a blessed day!
