Sweet N Sassy blog hop

Hi there and welcome to the Sweet N Sassy blog hop. Haven't the projects that the other ladies on the DT shared been just fabulous? If you have missed anything, you can check out the schedule of events with the links on my side bar. There is no release in February so we get to show you some of our previously released sets for this hop.

For my card today, I just had to ink up my new dino-mite set that was released earlier this month. My husband has been a dino fan (specifically brontosaurs) since he was a child and has now passed this on to our children. Oh and by the way, we have all girls and they seriously LOVE them too LOL. Actually, he has given each one of them a stuffed brontosaur from his collection and each of them is named some derivative of Fred (Fred, Frederick, Freddie, Freda to be exact). My youngest especially takes her dino everywhere with her. This card also fits in the for the Verve project parade in which the theme is a kid at heart because I believe I am giving this card to my middle daughter Lindsey whose birthday is on Wed.

Take a look at my card:

I first stamped my dinosaur onto rust CTMH paper, ran it through my cuttlebug folder and then lightly sanded it so the white core would show through. I then cut it out and set it aside. Next, I stamped the tree on white paper and colored it with copics. I distressed and sponged the edges and then attached my dino over the top with pop dots. I sewed my dino strip paper onto the bg layer and also sewed the edges of my bg layer. This designer paper is perfect for these images! It is basic grey archaic and you can find the paper along with the stamps at Sweet N Sassy stamps. My layout was the sketch challenge this week on Splitcoast.

Supplies:
stamps- Sweet N Sassy stamps Dino-mite
CS- kraft, basic grey archaic dp, white
accessories- twine, circle punch, sewing machine, copics, black brads

If you have visited the rest of the DT blogs then your last stop will be the Sweet N Sassy blog where you can enter to win a stamp set. Hope you have a wonderful day and thanks for visiting! Be sure to stop back tomorrow to check out what the new high hopes challenge is for the week along with my sample which I am happy to say is already done too.

Blessings,
Janette
