Awesome news

I found out yesterday that one of my friends who has been struggling with infertility is pregnant. I am so happy for her! When I found out I knew that I had to make a card for her and I thought this image from stamping bella was perfect. I used the sketch of the week on Splitcoast (SC176) for my layout and combined the challenge with my need to create a card for her. I am not sure if I am completely happy with how it came out. It is not bad but I think maybe I should have stamped a background stamp or something on the yellow layer. I don't know- maybe it is too simple. I am sure that she will love it though so that is what matters. Although, I have a feeling I am going to redo it and make some improvements. If I do I will post the newer version too.

Recipe:
stamps- expectafellabella
CS- bashful blue, so saffron, bazzill bling, GP white, dp-unknown
ink- lavender lace for sentiment, bashful blue for sponging around sentiment
tools/accessories- SU! brads, prismacolor pencils, gamsol, nestabilities, grosgrain ribbon, SU oval punch

thanks for reading and have a blessed day.

Very nice card; your friend will love it. Wow, I know what you mean about finding it hard to leave a background plain. I like the look here. It helps draw the eye to the main image. I think this looks great, but I always end up feeling like I need to add more to my cards. Wouldn't it be an interesting challenge to make the simplest card with minimum background and embellishment? TFS.
