Riley takes the day!

First, I want to share my excitement with you guys. I was one of the winners last night for the papertrey bog hop. I was one of 4 names who were chosen at random. I got to pick out a free stamp set. I chose guidelines because I wanted to order that so badly but did not order PT this month because I put in too large of an SU order to help keep my active status.

So on for my projects today. I actually made these yesterday using the sketch challenge of the week on SCS. I could not decide which of my new rileys from hanna stamps to use so when in doubt use both LOL!. Here is the first one- snowman Riley and you can find him here.

I stamped my image with pallette noir ink and colored with my copics and prismamarkers. I picked the colors from dp which I ended up not using. I used my ticket corner punch, sponged the edges and double matted it. I added brads to the corners, rhinestones and stickles to the snowman. I ran my olive ctmh paper through my cuttlebug and sanded the high spots with an emery board. The paper has a white core so the white peeks through when you sand it. I used my square punch to cut out the squares and matted them all placing them on my CS according to the sketch. I placed some yellow hardware in the upper corner and tied some banana grosgrain around the middle. I placed my Riley on pop dots and adhered over the ribbon. I punched my word window 3 times and stamped my sentiment on the white and layered on my other 2. Here is a closeup of the image for you.

Supplies:
stamps- snowman riley, things Riley would say
ink- pallette noir, brocade blue, barely banana
CS- ctmh olive, bashful blue, brocade blue, barely banana
accessories/tools- cb snowflakes folder, emery board, ticket corner punch, SU brads, ctmh hardware, yellow grosgrain ribbon, diamond stickles, word window punch, sponge, copics (E31, E33, E37, G21, B00), prismamarkers (cream, light cerulean blue, blue slater, deco yellow, 10% cool grey)

The second card uses another newly released Riley. Take a peek

I stamped Riley in pallette noir ink and colored with copics and prismamarkers. I intended on raising the tree image up but oops- I forgot oh well! I used stickles on the snow and part of tree. I sponged the images with moss ink and matted it. I punched out my squares of dp and CS and laid them out again according to the sketch. I tied some wide organdy ribbon into a bow and attached at the top with a glue dot. I used a sparkly snowflake embellishment in my lower corner that I got from my friend Sue (thanks a bunch!) to finish the card.

Recipe:
stamp- riley carrying a tree from hanna stamps
ink- pallette noir, mellow moss
CS/dp- mellow moss, bazzill bling, GP white, PT white, ctmh dp
accessories/tools- light blue organdy ribbon, snowflake embellishment, stardust stickles, CM square punch, copics (E31, E33, E37, G21), prismamarkers (dk green, 10%cool grey, light cerulean blue)

AWESOME cards! Love the layout. Going to have to try that one myself. I'm stalking you in the PIF thread for some of these images too.

Love the sanded card stock! It reminds me of a tin ceiling.
